Dr. Nicholas Toscano
Dr. Nicholas Toscano is a board-certified periodontist with more than 25 years of experience. Periodontists care for the gums and the bone that hold your teeth in place, and they place dental implants when a tooth is lost.
He spent 13 years with the United States Navy. He completed a General Practice Residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and earned his periodontal certification at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School, both in Bethesda, Maryland. He also holds a Master of Science from George Washington University.
His Navy service earned him two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, one of them for life-saving treatment of a patient. He also received three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Medal.
Dr. Toscano is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and of the International Congress of Implantologists. He has published more than 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals on surgical therapy and on cosmetic and reconstructive treatment of the mouth.
